The 9th vinyl disc from the American punk label DCxPC Live has already been released, which is entirely dedicated to the band Some Kind of Nightmare. In 2021, the label recorded the band's concert in the city of Orlando, which, thanks to them, will forever remain in the memory of fans of hardcore and classic punk under the name 'Live at Lou's'.

The North American band Some Kind of Nightmare, released last December 9th, the live single “We Take Form”. With very strong lyrics, the song delivers an energetic, heavy and aggressive Punk/Hardcore, with great vocals and nervous guitars. Regarding the lyrical content, the band commented:

Formed in the summer of 2006, Some Kind Of Nightmare is a punk rock power trio from San Diego, CA. Voicing the thoughts and opinions of the rock-bottom class and making a hell of a lot of noise doing it. Taken from the DCxPC Live Vol. 9 collections, We Take Form by Some Kind of Nightmare is a riot, to say the least.

In the shadow of the large stages and large arenas frequented by mainstream artists, there are musical realities made up of artists who don't care about "everyone's" music and who find themselves damned at ease in smaller clubs where, however, the who attends their concerts is made up of a crowd of diehards who gather to hear the voice of those who carry on a coherent and uncompromising discourse.

In the Metaverse futuristic era when you will have an immersive virtual universe and be able to attend concerts through apps enjoying a surreal experience whilst setting on your L-shape sofa in your living room. Well, how about having this experience NOW through only your hearing and would still feel as if you are attending the show through the DCxPC Live marvelous record?

The thing that immediately struck me is the voice of the female singer—she is the reincarnation of Lemmy!

While I don’t usually feature many live tracks, this one grabbed me immediately and I had to make an exception. Not only is it raw, gritty, fast-paced punk at its best, the subject matter is an important one. Turn this one up and pay attention.

Usually, I'm not so crazy about live recordings. It is never the same not having the feeling of the PA thumping your chest in the knowledge your hearing is probably being permanently damaged. However, in the case of 'We Take Form' from the USA's 'Some Kind of Nightmare' I am more than happy to make an exception.

The label describes Some Kind of Nightmare as “touring machines,” as they spend at least half the year of every year over the last decade on the road. Their sound is raw, fast, and energetic. A live energy that transcends so well on record. The stage presence is felt on recording. You can almost feel the built-up tension of it being the first post-Covid performance the label had a chance to record since the onset of the pandemic.

We know very well that the concerts conducted by DCxPC Live are true works of cosmic energy, and volume 9 comes with the sound of Some Kind of Nightmare at Lou's. on his fabulous EP., with 5 continuous tracks, one of which is more intense than the other.
